How Do I Find an EFT Therapist?
Finding a therapist in general can be a challenge.
  1. Ask yourself if you are seeking a therapist just for yourself or if you are looking to do treatment with your partner.
  2. Ensure you find a therapist who is trained in emotional-focused therapy. All training is completed as a part of ICEEFT. As a client, you can ask the therapist what year they were trained.
  3. Use a search directory to find an EFT therapist.
  4. Once you found a list of therapists, contact them to schedule a free consultation or an appointment. Most therapists do offer a free consultation.
  • EFT therapists have different levels of training.
    • Level 1: completed the Externship. The Externship is a very broad training that covers the basics of EFT.
    • Level 2: completed the Externship AND Core Skills. Core Skills is a more in-depth training of EFT.
    • Certified: completed Level 1 & 2 training, attended a minimum of 8 supervision hours from a supervised EFT therapist, and had the ICEEFT review their work and granted them the certificate of completion of EFT.
